Le Plafond

The ceiling shows painted figures revolting against the artist’s action by painting the ceiling with the red of protest. The invented figures challenge their creator.

Rido

The front curtain is still down. The red light is on. Harlequin and Columbine from the old Comédie make fun of the operator and the mechanisation of emotion.

You can listen to the artist himself:

La Bulle

The various papal bulls have provoked contestation. Schisms separated the faithful of a religion not accepting the same authority.

Lysistrata

Lysistrata by Aristophanes or the overthrown order. Bodies are inflamed, tension rises, paroxysm, fuses blow: “We are free women! Lysistrata shows women in revolt against their husbands who never stop waging war.

You can listen to the artist himself:

Blanc

An unpainted panel to make room for a sponsor’s advertisement.

Déconcerto

The spectator has entered the theatre and is witnessing its deconstruction. The music revolts against the dancers and the blue note rises and flies in protest.

Bellum

Continuation and end of the cycle.

In the moral ruins left by the war which is an integral protest, there is nothing left. Art is dead and artists are circling like iridescent butterflies. But through the broken walls there is light that shines through and makes colours reappear: HOPE. As in Leonard Cohen’s song: “There’s a crack in everything that’s how the light gets’s in.”

Sol

The centre is pushed into the distance, giving the illusion of a spherical shape, of an exploding ball. This explosion splashes the revolt towards the walls and contaminates the cultural, political and social life of humanity
